Awakening Counseling & Coaching, Inc. was founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife team, Adewale and Dishaun Disu. Their journey began in 2012 when they met in a Bible study group. From the start, they were drawn to one another by a shared passion for helping others heal mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
At the time, Dishaun was working in private practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Christian counselor. Wale was pursuing his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling with a vision to impact lives through compassion and faith. Together, they recognized a divine purpose in their partnership—one that would blend clinical expertise with spiritual insight.
With unity in mind, heart, and spirit—and a clear vision from God—Awakening Counseling & Coaching, Inc. was birthed. What began as a shared calling has grown into a thriving multidisciplinary group practice that provides high-quality, evidence-based mental health counseling, Christian counseling, and life coaching services to individuals, couples, families, and groups across Florida.
Today, the Disus lead their team with the same heart that started it all: a desire to awaken minds, heal souls, restore hearts, and empower lives—one client at a time.
